NestVan is a mobile app designed to help international students find housing and roommates. The target audience for the app is international students, and the business has a focus on user testing. NestVan is the first app of its kind and sets itself apart by catering specifically to the needs of international students.

FIND HOUSING

NestVan provides a platform for international students to easily find suitable housing options. Through our app, students can search for accommodation based on their preferences added on filters and choose a home that fits into their budget. 

ROOMMATE MATCHING

We offer a roommate matching feature to help international students find compatible roommates. Our algorithm takes into account various factors to ensure a harmonious living environment for the students.

AVOID SCAMS

Our app features a comprehensive information centre designed to empower users with valuable resources and tips for avoiding scams. It has direct links to government site and forms that would help the users be informed about their rights.

OUR TEAM

Jessy Huang

I am a fifth-year student at Simon Fraser University, majoring in Interactive Arts and Technology. I started in Chemistry, but I decided to transfer to this major to pursue my passion for graphic design and video editing. I specialize in using tools like Procreate for character design and video editing apps such as Jianying. I'm also eager to expand my skill set to other platforms in the future

Bryan Shum

I'm studying at School of interactive arts and Technology at Simon Fraser University. I'm passionate about website and app designing and am skilled in using softwares such as adobe, figma and protopie. I'm currently in 4th year and majoring in Interactive arts and Technology. 

Jami Gandhi

I'm a third-year student at Simon Fraser University, currently majoring in Interactive Arts and Technology. I'm planning to complete concentrations in Designing Interactions and Creative Media. Being more inclined towards User Experience designing, I chose the IAT 334, which helped me get better at user testing and delivering presentations and also introduced the topic of heuristic evaluation to me. I'm really passionate about graphic designing and making user-centric designs.
